Default Vista and old access2000

Hi,

Here's the problem. I use a database that's written in access2000.
Occasionally I "repair and pack" the database (within access). Whenever I
do that, it seems the process "takes away" the user account "everyone". I
have the 3 other users of this database accessing the database as
"everyone". So, this packing and repairing takes away their ability to see
the database. I then have to go into explore, go to the folder that holds
the database, click it, click on properties, then security etc and add the
"everyone" user again.

Any way to avoid this process?

If not, any way to automate this so I don't have to manually do it each
time?

One note...I did have to do this with WinXP too eventually. I say
eventually, because when I first started using XP I didn't have to do
this--it didn't lose the 'everyone' user on a repair and pack. At some
point, some update to winxp changed this and it's been this way ever since.

Thanks for any help,
me
