Your symptoms indicate hardware failure.

Are you using the Sony-provided recovery disc or something else? Because it
very much sounds like your hard drive (or motherboard - can't tell which
from here) has died. If you are using Sony-provided recovery discs, it will
have the drive controller drivers on it. If you are using a retail Vista
installation DVD, you need to provide the controller drivers on a USB stick
(press F6 when prompted during installation). You would get them from Sony's
tech support website for your specific model machine.

1. Is the hard drive seen in the BIOS? You will not be looking at the boot
order as you wrote above but to see if the drive is recognized. If it is
not, pull it and test it in another machine using a USB drive enclosure. If
the drive can't be seen or fails, then probably just the drive is bad and
your motherboard is OK. Buy another hard drive and use the Toshiba recovery
disc set to get Windows installed.

2. If the hard drive is seen in the BIOS in the original machine, test it
with a drive diagnostic utility downloaded from the hard drive mftr.'s
website (or use SeaTools For DOS). You will create a bootable CD with the
file you download by burning it as an image, not as data, using third-party
burning software such as Nero, Roxio, or the free ImgBurn. If the drive
fails any physical tests, replace it. If OTOH the drive tests OK but the
Sony recovery disc won't see it, probably your motherboard is bad. You would
need to call Sony tech support for the motherboard.

Doing all of this requires a certain level of computer skills and other
equipment on hand. Only you know whether a better course of action for you
would be to take the machine to a competent local tech. This won't be a
BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place.

Of course if the machine is still under warranty, call Sony to exercise it.

Call Sony again and see if they can sell you the recovery disc set in
English. If not, then you will need to get the drivers.

I don't mean to offend you in any way, but you should take this machine to a
competent local computer tech if it isn't under warranty. The hard drive and
motherboard need to be tested and then Windows needs to be installed. Based
on what you've written, you're simply not equipped to do this. There is no
shame in acknowledging that computer repair isn't your cup of tea; I don't
hesitate to call a plumber or take my car to the mechanic when things go
awry.

You will only find the drivers on Sony's tech support website for your
specific model computer. There is no point "searching for drivers in the
net".
