Default Cannot restore

Hi. I've tried restoring to an earlier point (several points) and each time,
after going through the restore process, I get a message saying it was not
able to complete so that the system is unchanged.

I've also tried going into Safe Mode, but when I click on the System Restore
icon, nothing happens. (It worked a few months back, but not now.)

My OS is Vista Home Premium 6.0 (Build 6000)

Thanks for any help.

Tim

Maybe an explanation of why you think you need to use System Restore in the
first place might be helpful?
