Hi, I'm wondering if anybody here can help me possibly
I'm not amazing with computers, and i'm having issues with deleting files to the recycle bin, moving files in general, and renaming files too It was all fine up until a few days ago, I got the Blue Screen a couple of times, and when I booted my laptop back up again, that's roughly when the trouble started, If I delete an item, sending it to the recycle bin, the file itself will be sent, but the "Recycling" window will not close, it changes to "Cancelling", and will still not close, meaning I have to bring up the task manager, and end the task, which results in the windows explorer restarting The Desktop icons, Start button and taskbar will disappear and then reappear, which in itself isn't so much of a problem, just the fact that I have to do it every time I move, delete, or rename an item The exact same happens when I attempt to move an item, the "Moving" window will not close and I once again have to bring up the task manager I have just tried renaming a desktop icon too, The folder looks to have renamed, but it has stayed highlighted and I cannot click any other desktop program shortcut, again, its not an immense problem, but I'd rather it wasn't there, as I'm sure anybody else suffering from these issues does If ANYBODY could help, I would greatly appreciate the advice Thanks in advance, Nick Post Originated from http://www.VistaForums.com Vista Support Forums |

It could be hardware, it could be software. Had you installed anything new right before you got the Stop Errors? Start troubleshooting by first making sure your hard drive and RAM are good: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/...ardware_Tshoot If components are faulty, replace them. If the hardware is good, what is the malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and versions) did you use to determine this? Be sure the computer is clean: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/...moving_Malware And finally, if the hardware is good and the machine is clean, you could try a System Restore to when things worked.
