Default BlueScreen Help Needed!

Hi, I'm fourteen years old and need some EASY advise asap on my
bluescreen problem.

I turned on my Dell Inspiron 1525 with 32bit vista home premium and get
a load of error messages and a BlueScreen. I logged on in safe mode and
got this:

Problem signature
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 2057

Files that help describe the problem (some files may no longer be
available)
Mini091809-03.dmp
sysdata.xml
Version.txt

View a temporary copy of these files
Warning: If a virus or other security threat caused the problem,
opening a copy of the files could harm your computer.

Extra information about the problem
BCCode: 1000008e
BCP1: C0000005
BCP2: 8CC9D240
BCP3: 818A0020
BCP4: 00000000
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1
Server information: 9086fd78-25e7-4c9f-b98b-b69ce7298ad9

Any Ideas on the problem and what I can do to fix it?

Thanks, much appreciated.

Scott.

Without the exact text of the "load of error messages" and the details of
the Stop Error, we can't help you. There is no way to know whether this will
be an EASY fix or not. ;-)

Start with the basics:

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus
status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and
versions) did you use to determine this?

Be sure the computer is clean:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/...moving_Malware

It could also be hardware failure or bad drivers. Hence it is really
important to know the answer to The First Question.

Always quote error messages exactly, without paraphrasing.

Give us something concrete with which to work or take the machine to a
competent local computer tech. Don't use a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type
of place.

Default BlueScreen Help Needed!

In Control Panel choose Problem Reports and Solutions (type problem in
Start's searchbox), right click your error and choose Check For Solution.
You can also examine the details.

In Administrative Tools choose Reliability and Performance Monitor and
choose MonitoringTools then Reliability Monitor (type Reliability in search
on Start) . This list a chart of software installs, uninstalls, Windows
updates, and crashes. See if your crashes started happening after you
installed or uninstalled something.

Also run Memory Diagnostics (type memory in Start's search box).

Also check your harddisk by typing in a command prompt
chkdsk c: /r

Also try (to repair damaged system files)
sfc /scannow

Default BlueScreen Help Needed!

This is the 0x0000008E KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error. The #
0xC0000005 parameter indicates that a memory access violation occurred.
This is a fairly common error and can have have a number of possible causes.
It may involve a hardware problem or device driver, but I have also seen it
triggered by malware.

Can you work at all in safe mode or does it crash quickly? If you can work
in safe mode
- Try installing and running Malwarebytes in safe mode.
- Run a RAM test. See http://www.memtest.org/
- Run a hard drive test.
- Try booting in VGA mode See
http://www.playtool.com/pages/safemode/safemode.html

You are likely to need professional help with this (a real technician not a
big store service). It can be a difficult error to troubleshoot. Resist
the advice some will probably give you to reinstall Windows, as you need to
first determine whether there is a hardware failure.

See the 0x8E error at these links -
