I have been trying to install this update for Microsoft Office 2007 Junk
e-mail filter: KB973514 forever. All I get is error code 80070641 which I cannot locate in the Microsoft Support Error Code List. I contacted a support tech who walked me through about four scenarios - none of which worked. They included turning off firewalls; verifying the relevant Windows Update services; renaming the Windows Update Software distribution folder; manually downloading and installing the Office update. At any rate, I still have no solution to this dilemma! I've read a lot of posts, but it doesn't seem anyone else has an easy fix for this either. Assistance would be greatly appreciated ![]() |

Thanks Rick. This includes approaches I've not yet tried, which gives me a
glimmer of hope. I'll work this. Meanwhile, thanks again for your reply and assistance.
