When our computer goes into sleep mode and we try to wake it the mouse is frozen. We have to restart to allow us to use the mouse. Is there a fix for this? -- novella8056 |

I have the same problem, with a wireless USB mouse, but I've found it does
wake up eventually after a minute or more so you might try waiting longer. A work around is to log off (using the keyboard) and then right back on which is faster than doing a full restart. I have a computer where the USB ports take a while to wake up after the system comes out of sleep/hibernate mode. Since I use the older ps2 ports for the keyboard and mouse I only notice the problem when I need to use my USB printer - sounds like the same problem. Assuming the OP uses a USB mouse he could put a USB/PS2 adapter on it and use the PS2 port instead (if he has a PS2 port). |
