Hello illskillz, You might see if doing a '*_System_Restore_*' (http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...store-how.html) at boot using a restore point dated before you had this problem may be able to fix it for you. Hope this helps, Shawn illskillz700;1177006 Wrote: My computer is freezing about 10 seconds after being unlocked or restarted. Sounds like you may need to do a '*_Custom_install_*' (http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/24...all-vista.html) to reisntall Vista. This way all of your current files in your current installation will be place in a "C:\Windows.old" folder so you can copy the one you want back after reinstalling. ![]() illskillz700;1177059 Wrote: Thanks, but I did that earlier with no success. -- Brink '*MS MVP - Windows Desktop Experience*' (https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...5-AD617AF3D511) *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* '*Windows 7 Forums*' (http://www.sevenforums.com/) '*Windows Vista Forums*' (http://www.vistax64.com/) *Please post feedback to help others.* |
