Default Read/Write DVD's giving Vista i/o device errors

Hi,
Just recently tried doing backups using read/write dvd's with Vista and,
poof, I/O device errors every single time. error code 0x8007045D.
Umm,
not using read/write and using write only dvd's works fine.
Any help here? Anyone else notice this?

Jeff

(Jill- do you have an explanation? is it something about R/W discs?)

Your not alone, I made it through approx. 25% of the back-up and...... I/O
error code 0x8007045D !!!

CD-R works fine but not the DVD+RW. I even tried re-formating the disc, but
it didn't make a difference. Something is definetly wrong here !!
