Default Error 312 No Wired Adapter detected

I'm trying to install a D-Link DIR-615 wireless router and encountered the
error message above. There is currently a DI-604 wired Ethernet broadband
router installed between my cable adapter and my PC. Running Vista home.
HELP please????

Hi
What to install in a Router? You can disconnect a computer from the Network
connect it on its own to the new Router read the manual and configure it
manually, after configuration replace it with the old Router.
Otherwise it is hard to pinpoint the problem since I do not know how you
connected every thing, two Routers at the same time with two DHCP servers
running is a Network No NO.
