Default VIsta not working- No IE or Mozilla

Hi- I am spent several hours on this problem. I contacted FIOS Verizon
and they could not help. It all started when I tried to download AVG.
Since then I could not launch Mozilla or IE-same error message- page
not found. I checked the modem, disconnected it, rebooted it, deleted
the connection, reinstalled it, rolled back to a month ago. I have 2
desktops and one other laptop currently working. When I look at
network sharing I see my computer with a big x for connection to the
internet. Short of going back to the factory defaults what other
options are there. I also tried to delete mozilla and that would not
take. Is it a firewall issue? Please help

Hi
You have to make sure that you have a valid connection to the FIOS
Modem?router.
If the other computers work OK leave the Modem/Router alone (you will play
too much and you would not have a connection with the other computers as
well).
Try this process,
