I just bought an HP DV2000 notebook at best buy. it comes with windows vista
home premium, amd turion x2 1.8ghz, 1024 ddr2 ram, 120 hdd, etc. NOw i got a belkin wireless router (model f5d7230-4 version 1232) and have never had any problems connecting with my other two laptops or my desktop. Today when i intially logged on to vista for the first time...when trying to access the internet it was real real real slow....so I opened up the wireless connections and clicked on the diagnose and repair....when finished it worked! It started to log on to sites really fast.....then it did it again. Then fast again and so on.......i called belkin they said it is not on their end when we used troubleshooting. What can it be?? Is it cuz vista is new and it has bugs galore in its programs...or do i need a new router???? but then again many people have been having the same problems with their wireless routers..... WHat can i do??? |

I am having similar issues with the HP DV2000. Just bought it today.
Connects fine via the wired network but will not connect through my Netgear WGR614 router. I went through the process to update the router with the "vista" software with no luck. Hi
I am also having the same problem. I bought DV2214US (DV2000 series) 2 days back and having Vista connection problem since then. I have the same router Belkin 7230-4 firmware version 6.00.10... The connection is very slow. I have other XP laptops that work from the same location without any problems... Sometimes the speed is high but most of the time it is slow. Did anybody find a solution ? Thanks "specops70" wrote: I just bought an HP DV2000 notebook at best buy. it comes with windows vista home premium, amd turion x2 1.8ghz, 1024 ddr2 ram, 120 hdd, etc. NOw i got a belkin wireless router (model f5d7230-4 version 1232) and have never had any problems connecting with my other two laptops or my desktop.
