Try changing the Outgoing (SMTP) port number from 25 to 587..
Tools - accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced

and enable authentication...
Tools - Accounts - (youraccount) - Properties - Servers
check [x ] "My outgoing server requires authentication"
OK

For clarity I have deleted the text you quoted (from "SarahV") since it was not
pertinent to your issue.

Unfortunately, your error message appears to have been retyped, so I have no way
of knowing whether something wrong is a typo or the real cause of your issue.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
Do not retype or edit it in any way.

As a first step, go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then uncheck the SSL option.

For certain, if your server is as you retyped in this posting, "mai" - that
is not correct (neither would be "mail"). Copy / paste the entire error
message into your post. Also provide the email provider (the part of your
e-address AFTER the @ symbol only please).
