Default Missing MSVCR71.dll file

For some reason, I'm getting three error messages that the MSVCR71.dll file
was not found. So the DVDAgent.exe and CLMSSvc.exe and one other appl fail
to start. What to do? Could my AVG software have deleted it?

Please help, Lynette

Scan the system for the file. If it isn't there you have deleted it somehow.
The easiest way to get it back is reinstall the programs that fail.

Another link designed to kill your system. NEVER run the registry scan
programs. They tend to delete entries that are needed.

For your problem do a system scan for MSVCR71.DLL. There should be one in
the system32 folder. If there are multiple copies check the version number
of each. If the latest version is not in the system32 folder put a copy
there and change the extension to old so they won't be loaded.
