Can recieve emails but cannot send them -
Changed from outlook express to windows mail and can recieve email but
cannot send - error report comes up for all emails I try to send- 'the connection to the server has failed subject '...........' account: 'mail.eircom.net', server:'mail.iol.ie', protocol: SMTP, port 25, secure(SSL) ; yes, socket error: 10013, error number; 0 x800CCC0E -- cafoleary

Can recieve emails but cannot send them -
OE is on XP and earlier. Windows Mail is on Vista. How exactly did you
change? Are you using a laptop away from home? If yes, what you experienced
is normal. As a general rule, the owner of the SMTP server you are using (IOL.IE) must be the same as the entity providing your Internet connection at that moment.
