Default pdf and vista

When accessing a link to a web site that has a pdf file, I click on the
link, a new window opens, and finally at the bottom of the window the work
done appears. Screen stays blank.

On another computer everything works well.

Both computers are vista and IE 8.

Is there some setting that would cause this or another newsgroup I need to
see?

What specific PDF-reading application do you have installed? If it's
Acrobat Reader, check Files Preferences Internet to ensure that
"Open within browser" is checked.
