Default Deleting folders off desktop

Hi
I am running vista home premium 64 bit, with all updates complete. I have
a placed a folder (contacts) on my desktop that I placed there for temporary
use, I am now finished updating and backing it up, so I want to delete it.
I can delete it, but then when I restart the computor it is there again. I
have deleted all the files in the folder, but how do I delete the folder
permanently off my desktop.
Thanks.

Reassign the contacts folder in your contacts software.

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by that, I tried to use the "send
to" but that didn't work either, so how do I reassign in WLM?

I don't use the product, but apparently it regenerates its contacts folder
after you delete it.

My homework assignment for you: Go into its settings and figure out where
it's being told where its contacts folders is. Change it.

thanks...... guess I failed.............. being fairly new to the technical
side of things, not really sure what exactly I am looking for or where to
look, I did find lots of files with the name on them, but don't know which
one to deal with or what to do with it.
Thanks anyway
