Default Printing cropped images

I have a problem that's driving me up a wall and I can't figure out how to
solve it. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with a Canon iP6700D photo
printer and I've installed Windows Live Photo Gallery. I can use various
combinations of applications to print standard-sized pictures (4x6, 5x7,
8x10) with no problem. The issue is that I need to print an odd-size picture
for a 1.75-by-2.75-inch frame. I've already cropped the picture to the
correct size, but I can't get Windows Live Photo Gallery, Paint, Paint.NET,
or Adobe Photoshop Essentials to print the image in its cropped size. It
seems no matter what I do, Windows insists it print a "full page photo" to
match whatever paper size I've selected and the Canon printer driver won't
let me select custom paper sizes below 2.5-by-3.5-inches.

Any idea how I can convince Windows to print the original image without
blowing it up to match the paper size?

The freeware FastStone Image Viewer has
an option on the Print screen that allows you
to enter exact dimensions.

It also has a crop tool that allows you to crop
specific sizes...if the size you want is not in the
list you can add a custom size.
