Not sure how I managed to post a blank one above .....
Anyway, just installed 2 gb RAM from an one Vista machine into another. Windows experience gives it a score of 2.6 whereas in the other machine it was rated 3.8. Any ideas on what might cause the difference. Cheers, Mike "MS News Server" wrote in message ... |

Unless both machines are identical in regards to motherboards and ram
requirements for same then yes that makes perfect sense. A little more info would be most helpful.. "MS News Server" wrote in message ... Not sure how I managed to post a blank one above ..... Timing. If the board doesn't support as high a timing, or has to step down
the timing to match other internals, then it will reduce the performance score. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "MS News Server" wrote in message ...
