Vista Basic Running Really Slow
I think you should run the Defrag last.
Why run Defrag and then do a Disc Cleanup ? "Ozirus" wrote in message ... What I do when my computer gets slow: 1) msconfig - disable all startup and 3rd party services and exit without restart 2) Schedule a Disk Error Check with only the 1st box checked. 3) enter Safe Mode and use the cmd - run as administrator and type "defrag c:" enter. Open msconfig and click "normal startup" apply and restart. Then do a disk cleanup and delete all but the most recent restore point, on the more options section. -- Ozirus [image: http://www.sevenforums.com/signature...ic51688_7.gif] |

I used to have similar problem with my Windows Vista. Luckily one of my friends have had similar problems with her computer and she advised to me to secure a reliable professional registry cleaner software. Apparently Vista is graphics loaded and needs more computer resources compared to other operating system. Given this it is important to always optimize computer to prevent problems. By employing a reliable registry program I was able to clean my computer system and eliminate obsolete and unnecessary files thus preventing all these operating system problems. |
