How can I send email? I have read and re-read the instructions. Why are so
many people having the same problem? Why can't I get someone to help me? This should not be so difficult. |

It's impossible for anyone to help until you provide some info...
1. Who provides your email account? They all have support pages on their website with the necessary instructions. 2. Show any error message you are getting. Right-click on the message, select Copy, then paste it into a reply. -- Dave N. MS-MVP (Mail) Windows 7 Ultimate http://download.live.com/wlmail "lenation" wrote in message ... How can I send email? I am using Verizon Yahoo! I have been to their support page and have
followed their instructions. They have been very helpful. My email was just fine until I decided to go through Windows Mail. I can receive email through Windows Mail, but I cannot send. Here is the error message I receive when trying to send. The connection to the server has failed. Subject ' Nation/Barnby Tasting', Account: 'Windows Mail', Server: 'outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E I can send email via Verizon Yahoo!, but now I only receive emails that come through while I am actively longed into Verizon Yahoo! I would like to "turn off" Windows Mail. "Dave" wrote: It's impossible for anyone to help until you provide some info... 1. Who provides your email account? If you are away from home (not connected to Verizon's network), you may not
be able to use port 25 for sending, as it's commonly blocked by other ISP's. See this link to change the port number to 587... http://www22.verizon.com/Residential...One/124305.htm If you do not want to use Windows Mail, simply open the program, and remove all accounts from it..
