I have a program that's supposed to start when I boot into Windows (Vista
Home Premium, SP2). However, I get a message that says it's blocked - so, I have to go in and unblock it manually. Is there any way I can set it so it unblocks (or doesn't block at all) by itself? |

Thanks so much. I have a feeling that, if YOU hadn't answered my post, I
might never have gotten a good solutioon. On Fri, 18 Jun 2010 22:01:29 -0400, "Mr. Arnold" wrote: wrote: I have a program that's supposed to start when I boot into Windows (Vista Home Premium, SP2). Use the Task Scheduler to start the program at Startup. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2328075,00.asp |

Did you even consider putting your question into a search engine? I put "how to unblock a program at startup" into a google search and got a gazillion hits anyone of which you could consider. |

I tried this and received an error message which read: "The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with. GoogleUpdateTaskMachineUA." I Googled this message and didn't get much in return. What now? Get rid of that scheduled task and manually update your Google installed applications? You can do a System File Check on Vista so that the O/S replaces the exe if it's corrupted. I've tried the SFC - but it only goes to about 53% then stops. I haven't been able to get a handle on this problem. |

As far as I can tell, that's not a scheduled task. How can I be sure? You can read this too... http://www.google.com/support/forum/...c55bc15e&hl=en -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP |
