I have a program which requires Framework 4 so I suddenly find myself needing it. I tried installing it through a Windows update but it does so unsuccessfully, saying it didn't install correctly.

I went to manually install it at Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (Web Installer) and a few other locations... the installation bar always loads to about 20% then it gives me an error saying "installation did not succeed" with "fatal error during installation" being the reasoning. I checked the log file and pasted it word for word below and if anyone has any feedback or help I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thanks so much:

Update:

I used the .NET Framework Cleanup Tool to uninstall all older versions completely then tried to reinstall each version one by one... I got hung up on version 3.5 which wouldn't install properly. I'd really appreciate some help here, I've looked at all kinds of solutions and none of these have worked for me so far.
