Default shadow copy roll back started from boot dvd - no log entry

Hello,
because roll back action form running windows was not successful
(Event VSS 8220)
I succeeded in roll back
when started after booting from the original VISTA DVD.

But if a view in the history of shadow copy snaps
I have no entry for the last roll back action.

Is there any log, which documents, that a roll back was done?

Thank you
Erhard
