winsxs temp pending rename
I have a new laptop running Vista 32bit. I have updated Windows & Works (no
other new software loaded) including Vista SP2. The computer seems to be functioning fine, booting ok, and Windows Update is reporting the computer Up to date but I have a large number of files in the pending rename folder in winsxs\temp. Some of these are being reported by Comodo antivirus as infected but as I've hardly begun to use the laptop I suspect these are false positives. Why are there so many files here? What should I do about them? |
