Restore deleted system32 files
Hi! I have a big problem with a PC in our company. Firstly, we use Vista 64 bit and reinstalling is NOT an option because we have tons of installed software I am unwilling to reinstall Serious, we had the conficker-worm and some other trojans removed last week with Avira Antivir Personal and then upgraded (better to say removed and reinstalled it) it with Avira Professional. I guess during that procedure Avira moved the infected files in quarantine und they were removed together with the program. I cannot tell you the exact filenames but I know some where in the system32 folder. Now the computer has severe problems starting (takes 5 minutes) und cant open an internet browser or the network or the taskmanager or control panel and stuff like that... In safe mode I cant even access the command prompt, screen stays black with the font in the corners. I have tried repairing the OS, didnt succeed and I tried about 15 restore checkpoints, all ending in an error prompting "catastrophic failure" or "cannot find path" or stuff like that. Anybody knowing what to do? THX in advance!!! -- psyberlin ------------------------------------------------------------------------ psyberlin's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/192191.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-fil...nt/1313448.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
