Default Can't download build 5536 help

I'm having the same problem. I can "see" the file. It says 2.58 gigs and
everything. It will not let me open. It says the file has been "moved".
Has anyone figured out a work around?

It appears that it put under some IE7 Tempoorary Store. I can see the 2.58 GB
download in a virtual desktop (it looks like my desktop but when I clicked to
see the path it was long under \Users..\Virtual\C\Desktop - something like
that), but it says I don't have access (permission) to it. I don't have
permission to Local Setting or AppData either, so must be in there somewhere.

I tried turning UAC off, that didn't help.

Anyone know how to get it out?

I used the download manager at work, it says it finished after 15 hours. I
closed the application when it says it was done downloading. But now I don't
have the file, where is it for me to burn.

Luckily I downloaded an additional copy at home, but no DVD burner there, so
hope I can find it on my Vista Beta 2 machine here that used the Akamai app.

Well my first try ended up with a complete 2.58GB copy of the 5536 release
in DLM format. The download manager hung up while it was checking the file
for accuracy. I had downloaded it to the folder where the 700KB copy was
sitting. I think that small file with the same name made the application
hang up. I deleted the small file and restarted the process but the
download manager wouldn't finish with the file in the folder so I had to
delete it also and start over again. Here goes another 15 hours.

I could not download anything from my XP Pro machine but the downloader
worked with my Vista Beta 2 computer. It's something like 2.3 Gigs and
it is taking 15 hours to download. I'll have to share it across my
network because my DVD burner is in my XP computer. I tried the HTTP
download and got the same result that you saw. Only 700+KB and then it
said complete.

Does anyone thats knows what's going on at MSFT, Know the status of their

something is very wrong
downloading build 5536 has failed twice with the akamai download manager
both with beta2 5384 and winXp Pro both instances it gives the Iso file
but it's only 721kb in size

also tried downloading with the browser Ie7 in vista and Ie6sp1 in winXp
pro and in both instances it gives small fragments of around 100kb in
size and then says "download complete"
I would greatly appreciate if someone could shed some light on this I
really don't want to miss out on getting build 5536 I have tried
everything on two seperate pc's just to make sure it wasn't a bug in
beta2 causing this but still no luck

Rick:

I have burned all my DVD's across my local network (burner on different PC
from the .iso download), and I have never had any trouble. In fact I'm
batting 1000 on downloads, burns, and installs (3 for 3 so far)!

Your lucky at Least you have it
Just a few words of advice it isn't a file you can open not even with WINRAR
you need a dvd burning program that will extract it and burn it to disc
I have ulead burn now 1.15 in that I select "disc copy" put a blank disc in
the burner and for the source I select "from disc image" browse to the ISO
file and click ok and then burn at the slowest speed.
I assume this will be all the same for most burning software
