There but its not-vista games
Hi, i have the home edition vista and all the games that are pre-installed like solitare, chess, hearts, freecell and so on, on my laptop, are there but they arent. what i mean is when i click on any of them it comes up with "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have appropriate permission to access the file". I played around with the user accounts (family settings and what not) and i think thats what has caused my problem. Ive had a look in windows features, tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it (through windows features), and have looked on the net to download them again. I dont have a recovery disk and im not very computer wise (like ins and outs of programs) and am really stuck for ideas, any help on shedding light on my wee problem would be great. -- amelia,n,diego ------------------------------------------------------------------------ amelia,n,diego's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/140020.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...es/1255998.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

you check the Similar Threads made Here http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...mes/702784.htm or perform these step to solve your problem 1) Click on the “Start” button, go to the “Control panel”. 2) On the left hand side of the ”Programs and features”page, you will find and option “Turn windows features on/off”. 3) After you click on that, and after all the services have loaded, expand “Games” option. 4) Check if all the boxes for the preinstalled games are checked or not. If not please check them. 5) Restart the computer and check if the games are back. -- Vinata ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Vinata's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/76815.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...es/1256000.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
