how do you find the mac number? every time I find it, it says unavailable.
Maybe I am not looking inthe right place. So where do I find it? and what if it says unavailable? |

Go to command prompt (Windows key + R, type cmd, enter) and type
"IPCONFIG /ALL" without quotes. That will give you your MAC address. Dustin Harper http://www.vistarip.com dion wrote: how do you find the mac number? every time I find it, it says unavailable. Maybe I am not looking inthe right place. So where do I find it? and what if it says unavailable? |

Dion,
IPCONFIG shows the MAC as the "Physical Address". Rick "dion" wrote in message ... I did that but I don't see the words "mac address", cold it be under another name? Or you could type 'getmac' in the command prompt. Both work, but 'getmac'
doesn't return all the other ip information. A bit shorter if all you want is the mac address. -- /* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Robert Firth * * Windows Vista x86 RTM * * http://www.WinVistaInfo.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * */ "Dustin Harper" wrote in message ...
