Just sent myself an e-mail. It did not appear in the inbox but I found it in
my webmail. Please advise. Also, I put 3 questions yesterday and cannot find them. The notify me response does not seem to work either. Thank you for reply. |

Who is your mail service provider? Gmail (for one) does not
allow you to download your own test messages. You posted using the web interface to this newsgroup, which does not work very well, and will be going away very soon. In the future, post Windows Mail questions to the following forum: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/...istanetworking Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail) ------------------------------------------------------ "Josette" wrote in message ... My e-mail provider is Cybernetcom.ca
They tell me that if I receive the e-mail on my webmail, it is Window mail or my virus program which deletes it. My antivirus program is Avazz 9.0 Also, is it Windows Mail which sends the Mailer-Daemon message when a message cannot be sent. This one went straight through to my webmail, nothing in my inbox so I had no idea that the meesage, which registered "sent" in the sent box did not go through. This has created a lot of trouble for me. Thank you for your reply. "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: Who is your mail service provider? Gmail (for one) does not allow you to download your own test messages. Sorry for a second reply but the website you gave me does not work. I got
"Microsoft, Page not found" in numerous languages. "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: Who is your mail service provider? Gmail (for one) does not allow you to download your own test messages. Your provider is correct. If an incoming message appears in your
webmail, then either a security program on your computer or a problem with Windows Mail is preventing it from downloading. I suggest that as a test, you uninstall that antivirus program, reboot the computer, then try Windows Mail again. Instead of reinstalling that antivirus, download and install this free one which is 100% compatible: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail) ------------------------------------------------------ "Josette" wrote in message ... Hi, Bruce.
I'm using a "Reply" to my own post to simply rejuvenate part of the prior thread, which Josette started on 8/19/10. When last we visited this... I had asked Josette if she had tried Gary's link. She never responded to that question - until her new post with the same Subject on 9/1/10. RC -- R. C. White, CPA San Marcos, TX Microsoft Windows MVP Windows Live Mail Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3002.0810)) in Win7 Ultimate x64 My 8/19/10 Reply in the original thread: "R. C. White" wrote in message ... Hi, Josette. It works for me. ;^} HOW did you try Gary's link? Did you just click on it his message? Or did you Copy the URL and Paste it into your browser? Which browser? Simply "does not work" does not tell us anything. Unless you tell us what you did, step by step, we can't see where you might have stepped off the path. RC "Josette" wrote in message ...
