Windows Mail
Norton probably corrupted the message store. See point 3 he www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 you probably need to completely uninstall it and then re-establish your email account as described.
To get WinMail working again, try repairing the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and see if that fixes it. steve "Harrytu" wrote in message ... When trying to start windows mail, I ghet the followinmg message: Windows MaiL could not be started. The Application was unable to open Windows mail message store. Your Windows mail box is currently being used by another program, such as virus scanner. Close the program or wait for it to complete it's operation then start Windows Mail again. 0x800C0155,2 Then I get the mesage: Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE,DLL could not ne initialized. I am running VBista with Norton and Norton's email scanning is disabled. Harry |
