Default Software Recommendation for NAS

Hi,

I'm running an NAS for backing up my PC and Laptop and am getting somewhat
frustrated with the Memeo software that came with it (crashing, not always
finding the NAS etc etc). Can anyone suggest a useful alternative (easy to
configure, reliable etc), I'm not adverse to freeware or commercial
software. I had a look at SynchToy but apparently it has known issues when
used with a NAS.....

Any help welcome
