Networking and sharing problem
Thanks in advance for any help with my problems.. I have AT&T DSL with a
2Wire 2701HG-B Gateway. I am trying to share files using Windows Media Player 11 between 2 laptops (both Dell Inspiron 1525) and an Xbox 360. I am running Mcafee Security Center on both laptops. When I have WMP 11 search for our laptops they cannot find each other, but they can both find the Xbox. When I use the Xbox to try to find the laptops it can't find either of them. I have media sharing turned on on both laptops. I have even gone as far as completely removing Mcafee from both pc's with no luck. Also when I map the network, the laptops and xbox all show up. The Xbox has four green bars (like cell phone service) beside it, the laptop doesn't have anything. I have tried everything I can think of. Please someone help before I just throw everything in the garbage and light it on fire. :-)
