Why so many svchost.exe running?
I have 7 svchost.exe running. 3 are under the user name "system" others are under "network service" and "local service". Why so many, and will the Windows 7 change the number of Process running? Thank you for your help. -- Samtheman Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |

Why so many svchost.exe running?
Just for grins do a search on your harddrive for svchost.exe. Look for the
directories that come up. If any of the files are in a directory other than System32 or Prefetch than this could be the problem. ---- "Samtheman" wrote: I have 7 svchost.exe running. 3 are under the user name "system" others are under "network service" and "local service".
