Win7/Vista printing from 32bit to 64bit or 64bit to 32bit
Greetings All, What is up with print jobs just hanging ??? Printing either from Vista or Win7 64bit to Win7 32bit ??? going from a 32Bit Vista or Win7 will have issues printing to the Win7 64bit too! I have tried the 'local port' setup, and I am NOT new to this rodeo... I have trouble shot printers for a couple decades now... Printer Sharing is setup and functions FINE for 32bit to 32bit.... All systems are in the same workgroup All systems are legal software All systems can share resources except printers All systems have updated patches I have 2ea HP Printers - Laserjet 1022 USB - Color Laserjet 3600n As you might imagine, the 3600n runs *flawlessly* whereas the 1022 will not. As soon as the 32bit host system reboots, the print job from the 64bit system will print. Only when I cross the 32bit with the 64bit do I get BIT! It's not so bad when it is MY issue, but when I walk into a client's office... that would not be cool Enlighten me... what is the solution? Much appreciated... |
