I would like to read out all my Windows Vista Mail emails in an automated
process and storing them as .eml files. (If there would be a Visual asic
code example I would be happy to get it but I don't believe that.)

Looking at my mail directory I found that only some of the internal mail
directories and mails are stored as file directories and .eml files, so it
would be sufficient for me to make Windows Mail saving *all* mails as .eml
files, but I found no way to do that.

Create a Windows folder(s) on your hard drive, in My Documents perhaps.
Highlight messages in a WinMail folder and drag them to the Windows
folder. They will use WinMail to open, but you can read them from there.

and drag them to the Windows folder.

Thank you, but this will need to drag each folder's mails separately, but I
have sorted my incoming mails in many different folders and folders aren't
supported in Mail's dragging.

I have done this many times in OE, Windows Mail, WLMail ant Thunderbird.
It works. If you want to drag all messages from a folder, click on a
message header once to highlight it. Ctrl+A will highlight them all. Left
click on the messages and drag then to the Windows folder. Obviously, the
WinMail screen must be moved over so you can see the Windows folder.

After dragging, the messages will still be in the WinMail folders until
you delete them.

It only works with mails from one single folder at a time, but I have many
folders and folders can't be dragged out so I would have to select each
folder's mails and drag them out folder by folder - good for one backup but
not smart enough for an every day job.
