How to restore Vista Packard Bell recovery discs to different motherboad ?
Hi,
I've just put a new motherboard into a Packard Bell iMedia x2424 AIO, ....which has an Intel G31 chipset on it, and is probably different to the chipset that was on the ECS mobo that was shipped/in it ! (new mobo is Asrock G31M-GS revision 2.0) ....so is there any way, or a best way, to restore the OEM Vista ....recovery discs, without destroying the working PB/Vista windows platform that was in it ? i.e. would that Vista image, when it discovers that its has been stuffed into a system box wth different motherboard, sort itself out, or collapse ? .....any tips muchly appreciated, regards, Richard |
