Default Sendto Problem

Running Vista Ultimate 32bit Sp2 I have added a couple of shortcuts
to the "Send to" folder in what I thought was the appropriate place
(c:\Users\my name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Send to", but even after
a reload the new items don't appear in a right-click in explorer "send to"
menu. I do get a few items and a couple of disc drives only in the menu.
What am I doing wrong?

That's what I have here, but there are two other ways to get there, in
case yours is different.

1. In the start orb's search bar enter shell:sendto & click on what
shows up.

2. In the Windows Explorer address bar type
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo & go there.

Using both the above messages, I can see all the items in the "sendto"
folder, and actually access my added shortcuts, but I still see none of
my added shortcuts when accessing "sendto" via the right click in explorer.

Try adding the shortcuts to the send-to folder by this process:

1. Create a desktop shortcut to a desired program.

2. Drag it to the send-to folder pane in Windows Explorer's folder view.

That failed as well. I've given up on this problem now. As it happens
I've created a new version of the Vista OS on another disc, and so far
at least, The sendto business all works as one would expect! I just
don't know what I did, or what happened to make the previous version end
up the way it did!

Me neither :-)

You have stumbled upon a cosmic mystery.

I just has a problem with Open With that ultimately required me to edit
the registry. Luckily, I didn't break anything :-)

I think...
