Patch Tuesday updates screw up Vista fonts
My Vista laptop machine has installed 15 updates for Patch Tuesday.
Now the font rendering seems to be screwed up. My first thought was that the font smoothing settings had been fouled up, but that doesn't seem to be the case. ClearType font smoothing is still set, and selecting Standard, or turning it off altogether makes it even worse. Does anybody have a clue? -- Tim Slattery tim at risingdove dot com |

Choose "Personalize" --- Window Color and Appearance -- effects Check the box for; "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" Set it to; ClearType -- Dave Multi-AV Scanning Tool - http://multi-av.thespykiller.co.uk http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/dl/35905.asp |
