WannaCry patch
I used a link on SlashDot to find a WannaCry patch for Vista on
Microsoft's web site. The file I downloaded is named windows6.0-kb4012598-x86_13e9b3d77ba5599764c296075a796c16a85c745c.msu When I run it, it puts up a box labeled "Windows Update Standalone Installer", which contains a progress indicator labeled "Searching for updates... And there it sits, with the progress indicator spinning and spinning forever. What's going on with this thing, and what do I need to do to get the patch installed? -- Tim Slattery tim at risingdove dot com |
