Drivers for Vista 64-bit Ultimate
I am having trouble with my audio driver. The names as they appear on the
vista scan are "ATI SMBus (by ATI Technologies)" and " AC97 Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP (by CXT). I have tried to find compatable drivers, but have had to success. I also get a "no audio output device installed" warning. What ahouls I do?! |

The AC97 thing sounds like a clue. I think u might need AC97 Realtek Audio
drivers, just google realtek and it should be the first link in the results. They have released Vista compatible drivers. "Ben" wrote in message ... I am having trouble with my audio driver. Drivers for Vista 64-bit Ultimate
I took your advice. I was able to find drivers, but I was unable to install
any of them with any success. The only ground I gained was (in device manager) moving the AC'97 from "other Devices" to the "Sound,..." category. It still has a yellow ! beside it and is still not working. I attempted many installs, but cannot get it working. What next? Thank you for all you help, Ben "BARRY EVANS" wrote: The AC97 thing sounds like a clue.
