Here are a couple of links that should solve your problem. Run kb922120 on
the XP machines and change your Vista machine's workgroup to match the XP's.

Hello Eric,

About half way down on the article you suggest is instructions about how to
set a public network to private. I have followed those instructions carefully
a few times. It works. However, when I restart my computer the network has
switched back to public. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Joe
