Windows Vista Business
Hawking Wireless Print Server HWPS1UG This might apply to other print servers, wireless or not. -First, ditch the software that it comes with. -Find an XP machine and connect to the Print Server's setup web page (default on mine is 192.168.1.250). -Go through the setup. -Attempt and (in my experience fail) to install a network printer. If Vista sees the printer, select it and get the message, "Windows cannot connect..." -At this point, I owe Bullerd from the http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com...=en-us&m=1&p=1 thread. -Install the printer as a Local Printer. Choose the port that corresponds to your network path (//PrintServer/PS1 as mine is setup). -Worked for me. ~andrew |
