Hi

I have noticed that TDCANADATRUST web banking does not allow Windows Vista
version of IE 7.0 to login into their site, but Windows XPcan.

Some banking institutions do not allow beta software to access their sites.

They are probably wise to refuse them while in beta.
Try Opera or Firefox as a backup.

ARGH PISH!! You just prompted me to check my credit card (UK Capital One)
and it won't load - yet it worked with XP IE7.
Guess I am gong to have to download Firefox (as I know it doesnt accept
Opera).
What a bummer.

Use XP's IE6 or IE7. Vista is in Beta and it is not surprising that the bank
doesn't allow it. And since it a bank, you know, being overly cautious is
their job!

I can't log into LL Bean in Vista - have IE 7 RC1 in XP - works fine. I do
understand the added security some sites may have towards beta software - I
may not like it - BUT - I do understand it )

Send them a thank you note.
Windows XP is a released product not in Beta.
While some support the Beta programs with all the bugs and other
uncertainties, TD seems to care about their customers and require them to
use released products.

It is not a good idea to use a Beta for access to personal financial data or
other similarly personal data.
