I've been trying to connect a (work) xp machine to a (home) Vista machine
through remote desktop. I have tried everthing and nothing seems to work. The home computer has a static ip and the work computer is on the company's network. Does anyone know the complete steps to take to get this to work? Do I need to be logged off the host (home) computer? What about the domains? |

When enabling the RDC, try to select Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop. Does that fix the problem? if not, can you telnet port 3389?
