So i am trying to use Limewire and Azureus. However when i launch either one
of them it essentially takes over my internet connection and i am no longer able to access the internet. I have all the ports that i need open on my router and i am still not able to access anything once i launch either one of those programs. I have to either choose to diagnose and repair or manually disable/enable my NIC card for it to work again. Can anyone help me please thank you. |

nforce4 onboard nvidia lan? if so, this is a known problem and nvidia seems
to have on interest in fixing it. Buy a cheap nic that works with vista is about all you can do at the moment. "rlincoln21" wrote in message news ![]() So i am trying to use Limewire and Azureus. I am having exactly the same problem when using Azureus. I've got a 3 Com
Gigabite on board NIC running through a Netgear Router/Modem. My internet is normal until I fire up Azureus, which quickly takes over the connection. E-mails seem to be unaffected, but surfing is a no go. It's as if Explorer and Azureus both won't run at the same time. Even when I shut down Azureus, the connection seems to be there for some time afterwards. Often I cannot connect with Explorer at all and have to restart the PC to regain my connection. i did an experiment by uninstalling Azureus and installing another client called Bit Tornado. Running Bit Tornado had exactly the same effect! I'm absolutely baffled! I am having the exact same thing happen to my system! It is very frustrating
to say the least. Anyone have any ideas without having to change or modify your computer? It seems like i'm not the only one having this problem. I use Shareaza and
Azureus on a brand new Dell, Cable Internet, Duo Core 2 EE6600 processor... For the first two days, no problem... high speed downloads and high speed internet. Now P2P apps freeze when started and Internet connection dies. I hope to God someone somewhere finds a fix because for the last few days I been trying to learn about TCP stacks and MTU... and thought i might have a virus that checks out on several virus scanners... Guys, I got it. Go to free.grisoft.com and download AVG (a free antivirus
software), then uninstall whatever virus software you have on your PC (McAfee, Norton, etc...). I called my local "unbiased" computer repair man and this is the advice he gave me. I just finished doing it and Limewire works great. Good Luck! "armyguyenglish" wrote: It seems like i'm not the only one having this problem.
