I have purchased new machine with vista home premium and have connected to
wireless home network. have managed to get internet connection working but the vista machine cannot see the old xp machine on the network. The xp machine can see the vista one but not access it. Neither of the machines can ping each other or access any files from each other. I have installed the lltd thingy. ???????? |

I am having the same problem. The network will set up in Vista, but the
Vista PC cannot see the XP. Have you been successful in getting it resolved? I was having the same problem. I resolved this by disabling the 3rd party
firewall (Norton) that came with the new Vista machine. I you use the windows firewall instead, the computers can see each other. Make sure your workgroup is the same for all of the computers. Also be sure that the Vista network settings are correct. "Nathan" wrote: No... Not having any luck at all getting this to work.
