Default Public or Private Need Advice

Common sense tells me what the difference between public and private
networks are... but the windows help file expains that a private network can
been seen by all computers and for public it says "This location is
designed to keep your computer from being visible to other computers around
you". I have 4 PC's one is a server with XP, the others have vista on them,
I do not share anything on the vista pc's, My vista PC's connect to the XP
Server "by mapping the drive in my computer" to tranfer all files back and
forth... I would like to have my vista PC's as secure as possible. What
setting do I want to use, public or private? Thanks!

Default Public or Private Need Advice

A public network is an untrusted network, like a free hotspot in a cafe or
business. A private network is one that is trusted, like your home network
or a friend's network. Pick accordingly.
