Default Office 2007 & Vista Home

Hi, I'm unable to load Office Home and Student 2007. I have just installed
Vista Home Premium. When I install the disc my computer crashes stating ' a
problem has occured etc....' I have left the disc in at start up and trid to
access it through 'my computer' but the computer just crashes. Any ideas
please.
Kind regards, Mike

Mike,

Disregarding what you're trying to load using the optical drive, have you
checked the Device Manager to see if Vista is reporting any problems with
it?

Yes - start here http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/win.../aa905013.aspx
and use the Knowledge Base to see if there's any info.

I just did a Google search using "VOBID Instant" and got a few hits
suggesting others are getting the same error.

Here http://www.techrescue.net/forum/topi...e&TOPIC_ID=411
suggests some fixes

Appears Pinnacle is the culprit here - not Vista.

Bobs, thank you very much for your input. I will try the links you have given
to me. Sorry I'm taking so long in between responces, but I'm studying at the
moment. Will get back to you asap to let you know how I get on. Once again
thank you. Mike.
