MCE 05 to Vista and back to MCE 05
The question I have is that along with my laptop purchase in November, it
came with upgrade coupon to vista- not sure which flavor off hand, but it doesnt matter for this question. I goto Hp site and it ask for the coa for the MCE 05 to be able to get the vista, ok here is where I am needing information, If I upgrade and do not like vista, will I still be able to go back to MCE 05 with the COA that is assigned to it, and dump the Vista? Thanks for any info on t his as I am not to sure if Vista is what I need at this time, and was wanting to try it out for a bit to see if I rather use it than WME 05. |

Yes, if Vista is removed the XP license is again valid and can be reinstalled. The rule is simple, you cannot have both the qualifying OS and the Vista upgrade version installed at the same time. Remove one and the other is available. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |
